For those students who are interested in pursuing a balanced program of study, Elizabeth College provides an Advanced Academic Diploma (ECAAD).
ECAAD ensures a supportive environment for students who wish to achieve at the highest level in their
pre-tertiary studies.
 
Students who show academic ability and a willingness to meet the ECAAD criteria outlined below are encouraged to apply by
expression of interest.
  • The program is studied over two years using TASC pre tertiary subjects. Year 12 students may be invited to join the program
    depending on their Year 11 results
  • A review of students’ attainment will be conducted after year 11 to assess student’s ongoing participation in the program
  • The program is studied over two years using TASC pre tertiary subjects. Year 12 students may be invited to join the program
    depending on their Year 11 results
  • Students must attend an overnight camp and also participate in some adventure activities such as rafting, abseiling and rock climbing 
  • Students participate in a Contemporary Issues and Culture program. The program is guided by teachers and students and will provide
    appreciation of a range of ideas and experiences across the curriculum, including visiting speakers and excursions to the cinema and to theatre and music performances
  • Students participate in a Community Service Program
  • Successful candidates should actively participate in a College sport, drama, music, service or representative team as offered in the enrichment or sports program
  • Supports involvement in the University of Tasmania High Achiever Program
  • Candidates must attain an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) of 90.

and hand the form to a High School Transition Officer or posting it to The ECAAD Coordinator.
