College Musical  
 
Elizabeth College is pleased to announce that the musical for 2014 is Hair.  The musical follows "The Tribe", a group of politically-active, long-haired "Hippies of the Age of Aquarius" fighting against conscription to the Vietnam War.  With unforgettable tunes, strong ensemble and many roles this is going to be one musical people won’t forget.

This course is designed for students who wish to take part in a major musical which will be performed in mid June.  Successful completion will give students  a TCE subject: Musical Production.   There is also the opportunity to be part of the band and interested students should contact Les Johnston in the Music Department
 
 
 
 
 Music Ensembles

 
There is a very strong tradition of quality music ensembles at the College.  These have included vocal, string, flute, brass,saxophone, tuba, jazz and chamber ensembles. These ensembles will again be offered in 2014 according to student interest and demand.  
 
As with the Concert Band you do not need to be enrolled in music subjects to take part in this program.
 

Combined Colleges Concert Band

 
Interested students have the opportunity to be part of the Combined College Concert Band in 2014. The band, previously a collaboration between Rosny and Elizabeth Colleges, has grown and developed over the past eight years to now include students from all four southern Colleges. In 2014 students will also we working with UTAS Conservatorium students. 
 

Music Schools A unique opportunity for Musicians

Elizabeth College annually hosts the Stage Band Summer School to be held in January 2014 and the Contemporary Music School, to be run in collaboration with associate schools in Term 3.
